Files with SV$ extension, just like any other file formats, can be found on any operating system.
The following list contains programs grouped by 2 operating systems that support SV$ files. Applications that used temporary files is such a manner monitor the files for such backup files and restore data from them if necessary. Since "My Documents" folder is considered as special folder with Read Only attribute enabled. If "My Documents" folder is redirected to H:\ (Mapped home drive) you will not be able to choose this as AutoSave Location.
